Oootopia Goes Beyond a Serviced Residence

(Posted: 25 November 2021; Article Categories: Property; Article Tags: Hotel Long Stay & Serviced Apartment; Publications/Sources: The Standard)

Oootopia came to life in 2019 when there was the opportunity to provide more living choices for young professionals living or staying in Hong Kong. With Oootopia, we want to create a ‘utopia’ by providing an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city while still keeping our residents conveniently connected to the centre of Hong Kong.

Making a positive impact in our society is an integral part of our mission and is represented by the three O’s that sit at the start of our name – Oootopia. They stand for the three values that lie at our core – opportunity, openness, and originality. While it’s important to us to create a close-knit residential community among ourselves, we also hope to connect with and support the wider community.

Our Oootopian team is made up of passionate individuals who have lived in and understand Hong Kong well. They truly make a difference and embody our Oootopian values through the care and commitment that they provide for our residents.

We go beyond a serviced residence. Oootopia is a home, a sanctuary, a lifestyle.

Stay With Us

Oootopia currently has three locations across Hong Kong Island and Kowloon, located in popular neighbourhoods with close access to public transportation, promising its residents with convenience and connectivity.

Oootopia is designed to be your private sanctuary from the bustling city of Hong Kong, with modern fixtures to provide everything you need to call home.

Each location has a distinct design that creatively takes into consideration the surrounding locale, the unique features of each property, and the needs of the people who are part of the community.

Oootopian Tales
Making Life-long Connections

Having a close community has always been a core value for Oootopia since the beginning. Whether you’re from Hong Kong or new to the city, you’d always be welcomed with open arms. A nostalgic story we love to share is about a young Korean couple who moved to Hong Kong in 2019 and chose to call the newly opened Oootopia Kai Tak their first home here. They were nervous, as most people are when moving to a new city – especially when they didn’t know anyone here. However, with the tight community in Oootopia, their transition was made easier due to our welcoming residents and our staff, who embraced them with open arms. We dined, did group activities, volunteered together and became very close. Even after leaving Oootopia, they continued to remain in close-contact with us and the friends that they made from day one.

When Friends Become Family

At Oootopia, your friends can become your family, and your experience is what you make it. Two years ago, we had a banker who stayed with us at Oootopia Kai Tak and he planned to move to Australia to join his family in a few months’ time. He enjoyed spending his free time cooking up a storm in our Open Kitchen, and naturally became close with his fellow Oootopians. He often arranged nightly ‘family dinners’ with the friends he made, which at one point became a daily tradition. Even after moving to Australia, his open invitation to his dinner table still stands for us and the friends he made at Oootopia.

The Convenience of Living at Oootopia

Our Oootopia locations are all conveniently located in popular neighbourhoods and close to public transport options. A pair of restaurant owners used to spend nearly 3 hours commuting daily between their home in Tin Shui Wai and their restaurant in Tai Kok Tsui, leaving them with virtually no time for themselves. One day they passed by Oootopia Tai Kok Tsui (only a block away from their restaurant) and found out that not only do we provide a convenient place to stay, we also had a community that they could explore and grow with. By choosing to call Oootopia home, they were able to relax, bond with their fellow Oootopians, and focus on developing their business.
